Overview

In Middle School, students expand their understanding of history, geography, civics, and economics while developing skills in analysis, research, and critical thinking. Guided by the AERO standards, they learn to evaluate primary and secondary sources, compare perspectives, and connect historical events to contemporary issues. Through debates, simulations, and collaborative inquiry, students reflect on their role in society and understand the interconnectedness of our global community. By the end of Middle School, students should be able to demonstrate progress on the school’s SLOs in Social Studies:
