Child Protection and Safeguarding

Child Protection and Safeguarding

At Korea Kent Foreign School, the safety, well-being, and dignity of every student is of the utmost importance. We remain committed to providing a secure, nurturing environment where all children can learn, grow, and thrive. We understand and accept that children, due to their physical and mental immaturity, need special safeguards and care. Through our Child Protection and Safeguarding Policy, regular faculty training, and our culture of support and trust, we set out to ensure every student feels protected and supported. This policy has been developed to provide faculty, staff, families, and students clear expectations for matters regarding the safety, well-being, and health of our students.

Our child protection goals align with the shared Schoolwide Mission of the school: Explore, Reflect, Apply.

  • Explore
We encourage students to explore their world with confidence, knowing they are in a safe, supportive environment that protects their rights and well-being.
  • Reflect
We guide students to reflect mindfully on their actions, relationships, and choices, fostering self-awareness, empathy, and an understanding of what it means to respect themselves and others.
  • Apply
We empower students to apply their knowledge of safety, respect, and responsibility with purpose both inside and outside of school, helping them make wise decisions and advocate for themselves and their peers.

Child safeguarding is not just a policy, it is an active part of how we help students grow into thoughtful, resilient, and compassionate global citizens
