Overview

In Middle School, English instruction deepens students’ ability to analyze, interpret, and communicate ideas with clarity and purpose. Guided by the CCSS, students refine their reading comprehension, expand their vocabulary, and explore a variety of literary genres and informational texts. Writing instruction emphasizes organization, argumentation, and narrative development, while collaborative discussions and presentations strengthen communication skills. Students are encouraged to reflect on their learning, engage with diverse perspectives, and apply their literacy skills across disciplines.
