Hello! I’m Mr. Dominguez, and I’m honored to serve as the College Counselor at KKFS. It is a privilege to work directly with our students as they envision their futures beyond our school community. While there are countless excellent universities out there, my mission is to guide students toward schools that are truly the best fit. Finding that perfect match involves weighing many factors: location, your unique strengths, each school’s distinct advantages, campus size, tuition costs, scholarship opportunities, and much more. Though there’s a lot to consider, my primary goal is simple: to provide you with the information, resources, and encouragement you need to make confident decisions about your future.

I’d like to share two pieces of advice that I believe are crucial elements of success in university applications. First, start early. Major life transitions require time to prepare yourself mentally, emotionally, and logistically. The earlier you begin this journey, the more thoughtful and intentional your choices can be, and the clearer your vision will become. Second, be kind to yourself. During the application process, you may discover that you’re not a “perfect” student, and that’s okay. Facing setbacks and rejections is part of the universal human experience. What matters most is how we respond. By embracing a growth mindset, we can make the best of every opportunity we have.
